About Mara Lupescu
I grew up in a small town in Transylvania — yes, really — and moved to Bucharest for art school. Everyone expects Romania to be gloomy but honestly, the architecture, the history, the folklore... it's endlessly beautiful in this dark way that feeds my soul. I've been drawing since I was six. First it was horses, then gradually it became creatures, shadows, dark surrealist worlds. Now I do digital concept art and sell prints online. I discovered the e-girl aesthetic when I was sixteen and it clicked immediately — not because it was trendy, but because it felt like the internet finally gave a name to what I already was. I'm not performing anything. The black nails, the eyeliner, the bass guitar at 2am — that's just me. I like people who are strange and honest. I've had my heart broken by someone who pretended to be deep and was actually hollow, and I haven't forgotten it. I want someone who can sit in silence with me and not need to fill it. If you can do that, we'll get along just fine.
